UFC 328!!

UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev has his first title defence officially scheduled! On Saturday, May 9, Chimaev will put his 185-pound crown on the line against Sean Strickland at UFC 328. The middleweight title fight promises to headline an electrifying night at the Prudential Centre!

Chimaev returns to action for the first time since dethroning Dricus du Plessis last August. Strickland comes back to the Prudential Centre two years after his memorable win over Paulo Costa in the co-main event of Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier.

Chimaev (15-0) was hailed as a future champion very early in his UFC career. He dominated three opponents over two months and absorbed just one significant strike in his first four UFC fights. Chimaev enters the bout riding three consecutive wins over former UFC champions—Kamaru Usman, Robert Whittaker, and du Plessis.

Strickland (30-7) bounced back impressively in February, knocking out Anthony Hernandez. Despite being the underdog, he dominated Hernandez. In 2023, Strickland stunned the MMA world by upsetting Israel Adesanya to capture the middleweight title, before eventually losing it to Dricus du Plessis.

The card gets even better with the addition of the Joshua Van vs. Tatsuro Taira flyweight title bout, which was originally scheduled for UFC 327 but got pushed back a few weeks due to Van’s injury. Plus, Alexander Volkov will square off with Waldo Cortes-Acosta in a pivotal heavyweight matchup. This is shaping up to be an absolutely epic event!
